We are excited to announce that we are serving as the Presenting Sponsor for the upcoming Triangle Family Expo! You may have seen recent news on WRAL regarding the consignment sale that was to take place before the Expo. We’re excited to share that event organizers have found a new location and the Expo has been moved to a new location at Apex Baptist Church (110 S. Salem St. Apex, NC).
The Expo will take place at the following times:
- March 22 – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Friday)
- March 23 – 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Saturday)
Exciting, educational classes and presentations will be taking place each day. View the full schedule here. Sweetbottoms will be presenting a number of classes throughout the expo:
- Friday at 11:00am Breastfeeding Class with Stephanie Petty RN, IBCLC. Come learn about the basics of breastfeeding from a registered nurse and lactation consultant and get your questions answered!
- Friday at 2:30pm Dump the Bump: Postpartum Weight Loss. Join Registered Dietitian, Lindsey Hurd, as she discusses how to “Dump the Bump”™ safely and effectively. Postpartum Moms 4-6 weeks after delivery and beyond are encouraged, all welcome. Topics of Discussion: Weight Loss and Lactation, Safe Weight Loss Goals, How to Eat for Energy, Initiating Exercise, Shopping/Food Preparation Tips, and more! Come with questions, leave with clarity.
- Saturday at 11:30am Cloth Diapering 101. Come learn about all the different types of cloth diapers, and how to get started. Ask a cloth diapering expert your questions about washing routines, night-time and more!
- Saturday at 2:30pm Intro to Babywearing, hosted by Babywearing International of the Triangle. Come learn about how to wear your baby with a volunteer babywearing educator. Try out different types of carriers, and learn different carrying methods.
