A friend gave me this at my baby shower and Im so glad she did! After using Lanolin the first few days and then switching to this, Oooh sweet earth mama it was amazing. Its so smooth and creamy, it helped to not just moisturize, but also heal the cracks. my favorite thing is that its not thick and sticky and I didnt feel the need to wipe it off before nursing like I did with the Lanolin. I used washable cotton breast pads and noticed a huge difference in how this butter washed out compared to the lanolin that just felt gunky on the pads. I also used it on my hands, for dry spots on baby, and Hubby used it for chapped lips too =D there were little white clumps from one of the oils that hardened from the cold but they melted shortly after being applied. I Highly recommend this and will be adding it to all my baby shower gifts to help other mamas too =D
I love to use this product when I pump to keep my skin from sticking to the flange. I really like that I don't have to wipe it off before baby nurses and that it doesn't contain lanolin.
An excellent soothing balm for some very cracked and sore nipples. It melted and therefore applied easily, and provided relief and moisture. I also liked the natural ingredient formulation, and that it has alternative uses. We now use it for everything from chapped lips and cheeks to dry skin patches, and hand lotion.
I wasn't a fan of the smell, but you get used to it. It works great, and was much better at relieving the pain and soreness from nursing than the usual lanolin. It went on smooth and was never sticky which makes application nice and gentle. A little goes a long way so don't be worried about the small size of the jar, it will last you a long time.
This butter smells good and was a life saver for sore dry nipples especially in the beginning. smooth and not sticky so it doesn't hurt to apply to sore nipples. in the weather changes it does get a little gritty but i read you can fix that in the microwave. last a long time too
